- What is Business Ethernet?
Also known as Ethernet over Copper (EoC), Speakeasy Business Ethernet is a cost-effective solution for connecting your business to the Internet and extending your Local and Wide Area Network. This solution utilizes a reliable copper loop bonding technology to deliver a single symmetrical connection - 3 Mbps, 5 Mbps or 10 Mbps. Speakeasy Business Ethernet is easy to install and manage because it uses existing infrastructure and a single piece of hardware - the Hatteras Networks HN400 loop aggregator - provided by Speakeasy at no extra charge. - Will the bandwidth fluctuate depending on upload or download?
No, this product offers a 3 Mbps x 3 Mbps, 5 Mbps x 5 Mbps or 10 Mbps x 10 Mbps symmetrical bandwidth. - Is this a full duplex connection?
Yes. - How is the installation handled?
Installation for Business Ethernet is very similar to installing a T1 connection. We will not have to dig up the street or install wiring to deliver service, as is often required to install a DS3 connection. - How is Business Ethernet different from Bonded T1 technology?
Speakeasy Business Ethernet uses a loop bonding technology, while Bonded T1s use a link bonding technology. Although both are effective, loop bonding is a newer technology that reduces overhead and deals with loop failure more efficiently. That means more bandwidth remains available for applications and your connection is less likely to suffer if one loop fails. - How does Business Ethernet cost compare to a T1?
Bandwidth Retail Cost per Mb T1 - 1.5/1.5 $359 $239 Bonded T1 - 3/3 $759 $253 Business Ethernet - 3/3 $380 $127 Business Ethernet - 5/5 $720 $144 Business Ethernet - 10/10 $995 $100 - Where is Business Ethernet available?

Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Jersey/New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC.
